MEMORIALS The Shrine of Remembrance has created numerous memorials to honor the
Armed Forces, the Police, Sheriff, & Fire Departments, and Community
Leaders. In addition, using the “America the Beautiful” theme,
we have created inspiring memorials at the summit of Pikes Peak (1993) and
in Colorado Springs’ America the Beautiful Park (2006) to foster
patriotism and brotherhood. These civic projects have been recognized by
local city government, the Colorado Senate, and the White House with
personal letters from former Presidents Bill Clinton and George Bush.
