August 27, 1975 – March 19, 2020

   Anton Holiday passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2020.  He worked as Global Operations Manager for a non-profit company and was a member of the Tim Gill Foundation of Colorado Springs.

   Anton was born in Austin, Texas on August 27, 1975 to Allan Eugene Holiday and Deborah Lynn (Weaks) Holiday.  He spent his early years in Texas and lived in Australia for close to 6 years, but was a Colorado Springs resident for most of his life.  He married Matthias Michael Schweiker in December of 2015 in Colorado Springs.

   He is survived by his husband, Matthias; his sister, Michelle Meek (Tony); his father; and two nieces: Savannah and Regan Meek.  He was preceded in death by his mother.

When I met Anthony at ATS on Bijou he was only 20 yrs old….he was on a smoke break outside and I was waiting for my ride…a guy walked up to him and started talking to Anthony in Spanish like he was an old friend..the guy walked away and Anthony said,” I have no idea what he just said…..but that happens to me all the time.” We laughed and I said, “ you must have a great quality about you….”. We were friends ever since… Anthony was one of those people that brings out the best in you,..I’m so glad I got to tell him that before he died… he will always be Uncle Tony to my kids, they loved him dearly. I will miss him so…

  20. I worked with Anthony in Sydney from 1999 to 2004 where we became good friends. We lost touch when he moved back to Colorado Springs. I am so sorry to hear about his passing. He was a special person. We need more Anthony’s, not less. My sincere condolences to his family at this difficult time.
