Edith Knight

On March 4, 2019, Edith went home to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was 83 years old and passed from a battle with influenza.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; her son, Bobby; and her son in law, Fred. Edith is survived by her two daughters, Jo Dee and Diane; her daughter in law, Sherry; her two granddaughters, Alexis and Ashley; her grandson in law, Matt; and her three great grandchildren, Michael, Abigail, and Aaron. She is also survived by her sisters, Ruth Ann and Grace.

Her passions in life were her faith; her granddaughters and great grandchildren; working and living at The Pink House at Glen Eyrie; studying General Palmer and giving historical tours at The Glen Eyrie Castle; and being God’s servant.

A private, family celebration of life will be held in April. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to The Navigators, or The Alzheimer’s Association.

This Obituary Has 4 Condolences

  1. We, the Team at Glen Eyrie are saddened to hear of Edith’s home-going, send our condolences and rejoice with you that she is finally truly alive!

Edith was an amazing women of faith. She modeled to our Glen Eyrie Staff what it is to walk with God while serving with grace and contagious JOY! She has left her mark, will be missed but Heaven is all the richer with her presence!

    1. Thank you so much for sharing your fond memories. Glen Eyrie and the people there were the highlight of her life.

  2. Edith truly touched us in so many special ways. I remember after we lost our son, she had my husband and I come stay for a couple of nights at The Pink House with her. She ministered to us emotionally, spiritually, physically and always with such love and warmth. Now she’s dancing in Heaven, where she always talked so fondly of, perhaps she has been able to give our son a hug.

  3. Rest In Peace dear Edith. There are so many happy memories of our time together. So many laughs. I’m glad to think of you in heaven showing the angels how to fold napkins.
    Love from the Faulb’s
