Harry Burch Jr., age 87, passed away on March 25, 2019.  He was a resident of Colorado Springs.  He achieved the rank of 1st Sergeant with the United States Army and received an Honorable Discharge on October 31, 1978. 

Harry Burch Jr. was born on January 18, 1932 to Harry Burch Sr. and Gladys Burch (Goodwill) in Chicago, Illinois. 

Harry Jr. was fond of spending time with family, eating marshmallows, white powdered donuts and watching TV.  He also loved every moment spent with his wife Rosa.  Harry Jr. was a member of Holy Apostles Catholic Church in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Harry is survived by his loving daughter, Ilona Slaughter; grandson, Eric L. Slaughter, wife Jamie and great-granddaughters, Brooklyn and Alaina; his devoted sister, Carolyn Patricia Burch-Dandridge (George); and his brother, Leroy Burch.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosa; and three brothers, William “Billy” Lawrence Burch, Robert “Bobby” Burch Jr., and Michael Kent Burch.

A visitation will be held 12 noon to 2 pm on Sunday, March 31, 2019 at Shrine of Remembrance, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd., Colorado Springs, CO 80910.  A funeral service will be held at 10 am on Monday, April 1, 2019 at Shrine of Remembrance, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd., Colorado Springs, CO 80910.  Interment will be at the Evergreen Cemetery, 1005 Hancock Expy., Colorado Springs, CO 80903.  A reception will be held following the interment at Ilona’s home.

To all my family and friends, I just wanted to tell you TODAY that I LOVE YOU because yesterday is gone, today’s almost over and tomorrow is not promised.

    Sorry for your loss. I hope you feel surrounded by love and lhugs from friends and family. The Harrison family Cherice, Arthur, and Auntie Diana and Harris family send comforting hugs as you mourn the loss of your father and grandfather. I too willl miss his words of wisdom as I sat and talked with him from time to time throughout the years,. He and Omi will truly be missed. With deepest sympathy and prayers, may God comfort you and your family throughout the days ahead.
