October 5, 1954 – May 10, 2020

Hazel Mae Robinson, age 65, passed away on May 10th, 2020.

She was born is Washington, D.C. to Will and Geraldine Walker, on October 5th, 1954. She met and soon after, married her husband on August 19th, 1972. After traveling with her husband to various military assignments, she became a permanent resident of Colorado Springs, CO in 1980. She attended Bethel School of Nursing, at Memorial Hospital, where she earned her degree as a registered nurse. Hazel loved to travel back home to Maryland, where she enjoyed being with her family on the 4th of July, every year.

After finding an Easter egg on their front lawn with an invitation to attend an Easter service, at Cross Creek Church, they decided to attend the service and later, both Hazel and her husband became members. Hazel developed a strong relationship with Jesus; and loved every minute of it.  So much that even in her pain and suffering she stated, “I’m so glad I have a relationship with Jesus.”

Hazel is survived by her loving husband, one son, three grandchildren, two god children, twelve siblings and their spouses, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

A visitation will be held Monday, May 18, 2020 from 9-11AM at the Shrine of Remembrance, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd. Private interment will be at Pikes Peak National Cemetery.

  4. I worked with Hazel at the hospital and the patients as well as the staff absolutely loved her. She was always smiling and worked harder than everyone else ?She will be missed by many.

  5. Even now, when it feels like nothing makes sense, this one thing is true— your sister’s joy and essence are a part of you forever. She was a wonderful person to know. Sending my prayers and love to all of you.

  6. My deepest sympathy for your loss of a wife, a Big Sister, an Aunt and cousin.

Hazel was my #1 cousin, we grew up together. We were silly, wild, and laughed all the time. I always remember Hazel, when she greeted me she would holler my name, “Debbie” with a big smile. I don’t care where we were, she always greeted me the same way.
