Kearin Margaret Ragsdale

Kearin Margaret Ragsdale, age 77, passed away January 15, 2019 at Penrose St. Francis Medical Center after a short illness.  She was born November 28, 1941 in Trinidad, Colorado to Hugh and Theresa Sayers.  She received a Bachelor’s degree from Adams State University in elementary education and music.  She taught briefly in the Colorado public school system but transitioned to private piano instruction which was her true passion.  Over the course of 40 years she instructed hundreds of students and took great joy in their pursuit of music.  She was a dedicated member in several church choirs, performance groups and music education organizations.

She was married August 14, 1965 to Henry Edward Ragsdale, who survives her.  This love affair with Henry Ragsdale lasted over 53 years. She is survived by her children Colleen (John) Baily, Matthew (Kristen) Ragsdale, William Ragsdale (Amber Martin) and Kathryn (Nicholas) Fernandez.  She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, Eoin (Brooke), Brighid, Padraic, Molly, Morgan, Mackenzie, Mason, Killian, Keaton, Hayleigh, Cain, Ellie, Hannah and Nora.  She is preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be held on Monday January 21, 2019 at 10 am at Our Lady of the Pines Catholic Church located at 11020 Teachout Rd., Colorado Springs, CO 80908.  There will be a reception immediately following.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Catholic Charities of Central Colorado 228 N.
