Lawrence Dean Hanson, 79 years old, passed away on March 29, 2020 in the comfort of his own home.  He was a resident of Colorado Springs, Colorado since 1970.  He worked for Frazee Construction Company for over 40 years as a foreman.

Lawrence was born on November 24, 1940 to Earl Ara Hanson and Maud Marie (Burg) Hanson in Gunder, Iowa. On November 22, 1975 he married Patricia Ann Griep in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Larry loved to fish, hunt, and walk in the Colorado mountains.  He also enjoyed attending the yearly Colorado Hill Climb, and anything that involved the outdoors.  He also loved the sport of football, attending the games, watching them on TV and was fond of the Denver Broncos. Larry was a member of Holy Apostles Catholic Church and graduated from Seneca High School in 1958. He also proudly served in the United States Army.  

Larry is survived by his wife, Pat; his children: Lynn (Kevin) Kruser, Chris Uhlrick and Mike Hanson; his siblings, Roy Hanson and Kathleen (Stephen) Archibald; with numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  Lawrence is preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Maud Hanson; his brothers, Edward (Ed) and Gilbert (Gib or Skip) Hanson; his sister, Judith Vanderzanden; and grandson, Robert Gretillat.
