  1. Mike was such a bright spot in my world, from Frankfurt to Greeley, and Colorado Springs. His friendship made my world a little better. Be at peace Mike.

  2. What can I say.
    Mike .
The best brother one could ask for.
He was always there for our family.
    He was there for me.
Took me on a bike trip to England. With two of his best friends. I’m four years younger than Mike who takes a brother on a trip like that he brought the bike for me.we had a great time. We had many great times.
I sorry that he is gone. But he is with Trisha the love of his life.
Mike I thank you for being my brother..

    Love you
    You will always special….

Tell Trisha, Mom and Dad HI.

  3. Jodie, Carol, Randy, Steve and Karen, I send you my love and heartfelt condolences. You guys did a wonderful job in helping and caring for Mike. An a Special thank you to Jodie and Karen for letting the Sogel Boys come out and visit with Mike and for making us feel like family. We love you guys.

For Mike: You were my best friend and dorm room-mate in high school and always had my back no matter what. The memories we made at Frankfurt American High School as the Boys from Sogel, will always be in my heart. And after our high school days, reuniting at our reunions, and coming out to see you, cemented our friendship even more.

I was so proud of the warrior you became in fighting all your health issues and striving to survive all the bad cards you were dealt in life. Our times together visiting at the life care center were always such a pleasure. I could tell from your facial expressions you loved having us there, re-living all our old high school days .

I know you are without pain and disease now my brother and I know you’re up and running those cross-country races just like in high school.

You are in Gods hands now in Heaven and I’m sure Tricia, your mom and your dad were waiting on you to celebrate a Glorious reunion.

Soar like an Eagle my brother and one day we’ll all soar together. “Eagles Uber Alles”

    Love Ya Mike !!!!!!!!!!!!

  4. Mike – Will miss you, Brother!!! Skip Pettit, FHS Class of 1968

  5. Mike was a wonderful older brother and mentor to my husband Steve and also treated our son Brandon like his own.
He was always quick with advice and enjoyed life when he was well. It is sad that after doing things right in his life, he was unable to enjoy more of his later days. Fly free now Mike, free from pain.

  6. Our warmest thoughts go out to all who are feeling the loss of a great brother and wonderful friend. Many fond memories will help ease the pain in our hearts.
    Love, Karen Allen and family

  12. Karen & Jodi its Bruce from Life Care Aurora. I am deeply saddened by your loss and even though I know Mike is in a better place, that doesn’t fill the void of him being gone. Over the years it has been such a privilege to get to know Mike, sit with him, visit and discuss football and hear about his memories. Additionally, sharing in your two lives as well and getting to know you both and truly appreciate your care and compassion you shared for your brother. In closing, to you both, thank you for sharing with me such a brilliant and charismatic person, he will be forever missed; but the sounds “go navy” that Mike used to say to me; will always be in my heart.
    Best wishes,
    Bruce.

  13. I was blessed to have Mike as a good friend during the entire time he lived in Frankfurt. Our paths

intersected regularly, first as seven day Dormies and after Mike Graduated in 68 we both lived in

Gibbs for a couple of years. We spent many hours in various gyms playing basketball and

working at the Shoppette. The good times we had are too many to share here. For those that

knew Mike you will remember his unique laugh and that he laughed a lot. I am comforted by

knowing that Mike is now in the presence of the Lord and can praise him in dance and laughter.

Continued prayers for his brothers, sisters and friends.

    Bill
