Paul Stanley “Stan the Man” Herrmann, 78, passed away peacefully on February 7, 2021.  He was a life long resident of Colorado.

He was born on March 10, 1942 to Frederick Gerald Herrmann and Naomi Pearl (Helms) Herrmann in Alamosa, Colorado.  On July 26, 1961 he married Kathleen Chloe Small in Alamosa, Colorado.

Paul owned and operated G.P. Herrmann Gas, installing natural gas lines for many home builders and commercial contractors in the Pikes Peak region.  He also owned and operated Herrmann Homes, restoring neglected houses into spectacular homes.  When he was younger, he enjoyed motorcycle riding and the Colorado mountains.  He also liked to restore classic cars.

He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 60 years, Kathleen Herrmann and his daughter, Martha Iwaniec.  He was preceded in death by his son, Gerald Herrmann; his parents Frederick and Naomi Herrmann; his step father William Wing; and his son-in-law Uve Iwaniec.

Paul was a private, casual and honest person.  He thoroughly enjoyed his family, his friends and his home.  He is dearly missed by all.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 13th at 2:00 PM at Shrine of Remembrance, 1730 E. Fountain Boulevard, Colorado Springs, Colorado.  Inurnment will immediately follow the service in the Columbarium of Forgiveness.  At the request of the family, please wear casual attire as Paul would have wanted and observe CDC guidelines of social distancing and wearing masks.

    He was a beautiful and smart person. I had the privilege to work with him the last 10 years or so. He was great to work with. He was like a dad to me. Easy to talk to and listener. I will miss him.

  5. Paul was a classmate of mine in Alamosa High School. We graduated together with the class of 1959. We used to go hunting and running around with other friends. We always enjoyed each other’s company. I’m sorry that we lost touch after we both left Alamosa.. I wish all the best for his daughter.

  6. My condolences to the family. I grew up with Paul in Alamosa Colo.. We shared many fond experiences growing up as friends in small towns do. I am sure he will be missed by many. I know as a classmate I will miss him, but glad we shared many fond memories when growing up.
