Ronald VallejosRonald W. Vallejos, 58, passed away on November 12, 2018, surrounded by family members. He was a resident of Colorado Springs, CO for 18 years and a former resident of Monument, CO. He was a drywall finisher.

Ron was born Sept. 8,1960 to Benito and Lucy (Esquibel) Vallejos. Growing up, he was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Monument, CO. He attended schools in Monument and graduated from Lewis Palmer High School in 1978.

Ron enjoyed fishing, hunting, working on his truck, and spending time with family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Benito and Lucy Vallejos and grandson, Asher Vallejos.

He is survived by sons: Eric (Leah) Vallejos, Ronald (Carmen) Vallejos, Corey Vallejos; step-son, Sean Steele; 7 grandsons; brother, Randy (Veronica) Vallejos; sisters: Theresa (Joe) Barry, Rene Vallejos and Bertha Vallejos; numerous nephews, nieces, aunts and uncles.

Services will be held Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, 124 1st St., Monument, CO 80132. A Viewing will be held from 9:00-9:30 a.m.  A Rosary will be recited at 9:30 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be at Monument Cemetery. A reception will be held at St. Peter’s reception hall.

  5. So sorry to hear of your loss. I knew Ronnie in elementary school where the two of us would climb the short flight of stairs at the top of of old Lewis Palmer building to a tiny room where we would do speech therapy. I couldn’t say my ‘R’ sounds and he couldn’t put the ‘R’ in the right place which resulted in him calling me a ‘grill’ instead of a ‘girl’. He was shy and funny and I have such fond memories of these sessions. I trust his family has more and better memories, and that they last as long as mine have. Bless.
