Suzanne Marie Cano

On Saturday, April 13, 2019, Suzanne Marie, loving wife, mother, and sister, passed away at the age of 72. She was a resident of Colorado Springs, Colorado, for 24 years and was formerly a resident of Delphos, Ohio. She was a nonprofit ministry director with a servant’s heart.

Suzanne (Suzie) was born on July 31, 1946 to Sylvester John and Velma “Evelyn” (Best) Kraft in Lima, Ohio. On July 5, 1964 she married the love of her life, Alvaro “Bobby” Cano, in Delphos, Ohio, in a small church; and they began their life together by celebrating at a reception in her mother’s back yard.

Suzie had a generous spirit and loved being a mom and grandmother. She was an avid reader and enjoyed working on home projects. Her back yard was her oasis. She attended Delphos Jefferson High School and graduated in 1964.

Suzie will be forever remembered by her children: Eric (Blair), Suzie, Teresa “Dawn” (Stacey), and Sheila (Tyson); her grandchildren: Nina (Eric), Denny, Josh, Suzie (Tom), Caleb, Jeremie, Eric, Peyton, Vaviana, Riley, and Pilar; her great grandchildren: Leila, Grey, and Sullivan. Suzie will also always be remembered by her brothers, sisters, numerous nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. She is now reunited with her beloved husband, Bobby; and grandson, Jacob.

One of Suzie’s favorite bible verses was Joshua 24:15. She wholeheartedly believed it was God’s promise to her, “But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”

A Memorial Service to celebrate Suzie’s life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, April 26 at Shrine of Remembrance, 1730 E. Fountain Boulevard, Colorado Springs, CO 80910. A reception will be held following the Memorial Service at Shrine of Remembrance.
