Inez E. Hermanson, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and dear friend passed away April 5, 2012 at Life Care Center in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Inez was born March 3, 1927 in Decorah, Iowa to Herman and Amelia “Minnie” (Qualley) Rude. She sold shoes at Younkers Department Store in Iowa for 25 years. She loved cooking for her family, baking cakes, painting bird houses and always had a magazine in her hand.
She is survived by her husband, Arden, of 65 years; her daughters: Elizabeth Seedorf and Arlis (AJ) Stephenson; her son-in-law, Dave; 3 grandchildren: Cory and wife Amy, Bryan and wife Elizabeth, and Amy and husband Mike; 2 great-grandchildren, Lucas and Molly; her sister, Ruth Thompson; her brother, Robert Rude; and several nieces and nephews. She will be dearly missed.
The family would like to thank Life Care Center and Dr. Jeffrey Kulp’s office for their care these past six months.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 14, 2012 at the Shrine of Remembrance “America the Beautiful” Chapel. Burial will be at the Lutheran Cemetery in Decorah, Iowa at a later date.
