Albert Durk, age 84, passed away September 28, 2020 in Colorado Springs. He was born October 25, 1935 in Quincy, Illinois to Albert R. and Ardelcie Verlan (Trusley) Durk. He was a resident of Colorado Springs since 1984.
Albert served honorably in the United States Army for 27 years. Following his retirement from the Army, he worked as a U.S. Postal Service Letter Carrier for more than 22 years. He loved his family a great deal.
He married the love of his life, Rosa (Heimann) Durk, on March 3, 1960 in Nuremberg, Germany. Rosa also passed away earlier this year.
Albert is survived by his daughter, Nadine (Paul) Simmons of Colorado Springs. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: George Durk and Stanley Stoneking; and sister, Verlan (Durk) Gray.
At the request of Albert, no ceremonial services are planned and inurnment will be private.
