
Alfred Philippe Charron, age 89, passed away on November 26, 2025, in Canon City, Colorado. He was a resident of Colorado Springs for over 55 years and a former resident of Pawtucket, Rhode Island and Sacramento, California. He held many jobs throughout his life including Army and Air Force service member, salesman, computer technician, and during his retirement years; rental car transporter.
Alfred was born on September 27, 1936, to Joseph Napoleon Antoine Charron and Olivina (Carufel) Charron in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. On June 15, 1963, he married his soulmate, Ernestina Archuleta, in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
He enlisted in the United States Army in 1955 and then enlisted again in the Air Force in 1962, discharging in 1967.
He attended Folsom High School, in Folsom, California and graduated in 1965. He was a member of the Jehovah’s Witness organization since 1968.
Al was fond of all forms of technology. He could be found programming computer games and would often have his children read the BASIC commands of computer programming language for him to input. When the Atari Video Computer system was released in the 1970s, he enjoyed playing it with his children much to their delight. Al loved taking his family on car rides and picnics through the scenic Colorado mountains. He would often reminisce of growing up in New England being near the ocean and relishing the vibrant colors of autumn leaves. The NFL football season was Al’s favorite time of year, and he was an avid fan of the Denver Broncos and New England Patriots, depending on conference statistics. He was a quiet, firm, but fun father; and a devoted husband who dearly loved his family.
Alfred is survived by his eight children: Anna of Las Vegas, Nevada, Andrea Huelsman, and Angela of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Audrey (Gregory) Lewis of Phoenix, Arizona, Anthony, and Arthur of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Albert, and Aaron of Denver, Colorado; his grandchildren: Davina Contreras, Quincy Toussaint, Grace Charron, Jessusa (Cavazos) Valdez, Zaria Lewis, Jacob Charron, Arthur B.Charron, Nick Barreras, Myah Lewis, Caylin Huelsman, Aaron Charron Jr, and Mario Villegas; and his great-grandchildren: Javian Contreras, Sian Contreras, Khloe Garcia, Jaclyn Toussaint, Dante Ramirez, Zaina Toussaint, Tifa Valdez, Jamie Charron, and Anyla Sainz-Charron; and his great-great-granddaughter: Vivienne Alvidrez. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, June (Thurber) Charron of Pueblo West, Colorado, nephews: Joseph Charron of Canon City, Colorado, Jeffrey Charron of Pueblo West, Colorado, and nieces: Dorothy (Dottie Charron) Hoover of Wichita Falls, Texas, and Susan Charron of Colorado Springs, Colorado. He also leaves behind several beloved brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, and nieces and nephews on his wife’s side.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 62 years, Ernestina (Archuleta) Charron; his parents; his son: Adrian Charron; his great-granddaughter: Milani Sainz-Charron; his sisters, Doris Charron and Alice Charron; and his brother, Raymond Charron.
At the family’s request there is no service, but his celebration of life will be held in the near future. Inurnment was done at the Shrine of Remembrance in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Alfred will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his loved ones.
