Amador Flores, age 83 years, passed away on August 11, 2025. He was a resident of Colorado Springs for 27 years and formerly lived in Mexico City. He was a leather craft worker in Mexico City for the Gilioli Factory specializing in shoes and hand-made leather purses.

Amador was born on February 11, 1942, to Beatriz Lozano and Amador Flores in Soledad Venustiano Carranza. On September 22, 1963, he married Silvia De Nova in Mexico City. They shared 61 years of marriage together and had 7 children.

He loved working with his hands, enjoying family gatherings, and dancing to Matancera songs. Amador was a soccer player and was called “El Capulin” by friends and family because he was short, dark, and sweet like a cherry. He had many positive character traits and easily made long-term friendships. Amador was a dedicated and formidable provider to his family, never ceasing to work when he could.

He is survived by his children:  Susana Flores, Fernando Flores, Gerardo Flores, Ana Zavala, Rita Flores, and Elizabeth Fuentes; his 20 grandchildren:  Susana, Cecilia, Kathy, Janett, Michelle, Anali, Estephanie, Fernando Jr., Jordy, Jair, Giovanni, Karen, Liliana, Ariana, Amado, Vanessa, Jessica, Eduardo, Ricardo, and Kelly; and 27 great-grandchildren.

Amador’s impact on the lives of family and friends will never be forgotten. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

A Visitation will be held in honor of Amador on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at 1:00PM, followed by a funeral service at 2:00PM, at the Shrine of Remembrance “America the Beautiful” Chapel, 1730 East Fountain Boulevard, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80910.
