Anna “Annie” Mae Rounds
Anna “Annie” Mae Rounds, age 87, a resident of Colorado Springs, passed away on July 21, 2012 at Memorial Hospital.
Annie was born in Sugarite, New Mexico on September 8, 1924 to Ricardo and Catherine Borga. She married Dell Rounds on June 20, 1953. They were married for 59 wonderful years.
Annie was a wonderful woman; caring, fun loving, treasured by her family. She was known and loved by all her friends and children’s friends. Her love and compassion for others was a deep rooted value she passed on to her children and grandchildren. Few will surpass her belief and faith in others and her Lord. Annie lived a full and beautiful life.
She is survived by her husband: Delbert Rounds; her children: Cathy (Harry) Knight; Mary Ann Petratis; Ed Rounds; Carol (Tom) Carle; Sara (Evan) Evans; Dell (Lisa) Rounds; and Donald Rounds; and her grandchildren; Jason Knight; Anna Knight; Megan Petratis; Gabe Petratis; Connor Rounds; Shea Rounds; Craig Carle; Mark Carle; Cassie Evans; Bryce Evans; Lexie Rounds; Dominike Rounds; and Raychele Rounds. She is also survived by one great-granddaughter: Aubrie Knight; and two step-grandchildren: Cindy O’Connor and Terri Petratis. She was preceded by a granddaughter: Ashley Petratis.
A Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at the Shrine of Remembrance “America the Beautiful” Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial is planned for 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 26, 2012 at St. Dominic Catholic Church, 5354 S Highway 85/87, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80903. Graveside services will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
