Arlie, age 94, passed away on January 12, 2026. He was a resident of Colorado Springs for 77 years and was formerly a resident of Illinois. He was an Accounting Manager for CIG.
Arlie was born on June 11, 1931 to Arlie Barringer Sr. and Flora Elizabeth (Cooper) Barringer in Marion, Illinois. On August 4, 1961 he married Mary Louise Koch in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Arlie was fond of crosswords. He also enjoyed walking, and had an appreciation for bible study. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and attended Colorado Springs High School and graduated in 1949. He served in the United States Navy for one year.
He is survived by his son, Richard, and daughter-in-law Kathryn; his grandchildren: Philip and Kimberly; and his great-grandchildren: Lukas, Parker, and Logan. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Louise.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, January 21, 2026 at Shrine of Remembrance, 1730 East Fountain Boulevard, followed by inurnment immediately afterwards.
