Betty M. Renfro, age 78, passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2011. She was a Colorado Springs resident since the mid 1960s and formerly of Greeley, Colorado. Betty was a wonderful wife, mother, and homemaker.
Betty Marie Bain was born on March 25, 1933 in Mountain View, Missouri to the late Victor and Mildred (Bonnell) Bain. She married LeRoy Renfro on March 11, 1956 in Loveland, Colorado. She was a member of Circle Drive Baptist Church. Betty was a very talented artist, loved cooking, and was an avid reader.
Betty is survived by her husband, LeRoy; son, Bart (wife, Roxanne) Renfro; daughters, Carrol (husband, Mostafa) Kishk, Connie Scott, and Barbara (husband, Sam) Joseph); and thirteen grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers, James and Roger Bain; and a sister, Wilda Stevens. Betty was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Earl Bain; and two sisters, Kathline Bain and Mary Simms.
Memorial services are planned for 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 6, 2012 at Audubon Heights Community Church, 2404 North Union Boulevard. A reception will follow services at the church. Cremation is planned and private inurnment will be held at the Shrine of Remembrance Mausoleum, Garden of Angles.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Betty’s name may be made to the Audubon Heights Community Church.
