Charles Freund – August 27, 2025

Charles (Chuck) Freund, age 83, a longtime resident of Colorado Springs passed away on August 27, 2025, after a battle with cancer. He was a retired truck driver both as a member of the military and in civilian life.

He was born on March 14, 1942 in Watertown, South Dakota to Edmund Freund and Veronica (Raml) Freund.  He was married to the late Yong Suk Lee Freund of Seoul, South Korea.

Chuck was fond of hot rod cars and taking his hot rods to car shows both locally and in other states.  He served for 20 years in the United States Army before retiring.

He is survived by his sister Janet Whitaker and brother Francis Freund.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Edmund and Veronica, his wife Yong Suk and his brothers Donald and Robert.

He was loved and will be remembered for his love for his family, his dry sense of humor and his knowledge of cars.
