Christella Mary Abeyta, age 82, passed away Thursday, August 14, 2025 at her home in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Christella was born on October 29, 1942, in Colorado Springs to Maria Trujillo and Tomas Abeyta.
She married Marshall Trujillo and Octaviano Garcia, who both preceded her in death.
She is survived by her children: Janice Trujillo, Cindy Cook (Ray), Marshall Trujillo (Kenna), Ida Trujillo (Ron), Martin Trujillo, Letisia Garcia (Isabel), Conri Garcia, and Rigo Garcia; 20 grandkids, 44 great grandkids, and 9 great great grandkids.
Christella was kind and welcoming to every person she encountered. She had a passion for gardening. It reminded her of her mother. She also loved to read and to watch The Waltons. Some of her favorite things to do were to listen to Mexican music and to dance. Most of all, she loved her family and God.
Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. with 11:00 a.m. Vigil and Rosary on Wednesday, August 27, 2025 at Shrine of Remembrance, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd., Colorado Springs, CO 80910. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 29, 2025 at Heart of the Springs Church, 2726 N. Union Blvd., Colorado Springs, CO 80909.
