Christie Jo-nelle Dawson
Christie J. Madden, Myers, Dawson (Lola), 54, of Colorado Springs passed away January 6, 2014. She was born in Colorado Springs, at Penrose Hospital on March 9, 1959 to Darryl Owen (Doc) Madden (deceased) and Clara Estelle Madden.
She was devoted to her work as an imaging technician in the legal industry for many years. She previously worked at TRW.
Christie had many activities that she enjoyed; crocheting and reading to name a few. She loved all sports, especially the Denver Broncos, she never missed a game. Christie mostly loved hanging out with her closest friends of 15 yrs, Carol & Joe Collins. Our memorable times going camping in the mountains in the RV, gambling or just watching the Bronco games together. She enjoyed going to Cripple Creek and Vegas. In the past, she played poker in which she placed 5th in the 2000 National Texas Holdem Poker Tournament. She was also very involved in the local dart leagues.
Christie is survived by her sons, Michael Dawson of Moore Oklahoma, Jeremy & his wife Sara Dawson of Fort Collins, her daughter Brittani Dawson of Gainesville Texas, grandchildren Winter and Raelynn Dawson, and Konnor Williams, her sister Kem and her husband James Battey of Colorado Springs, her brother Bill Madden and his wife Sally of Colorado Springs, two nieces Jennifer and Connie Madden, her mother Clara Madden of Colorado Springs, and her companion David Wyatt. Christie left behind her two beloved pets Munchkin, her dog, and Haley, her cat.
Christie was also very close to Debbie Tilley Chambers, Terry Gifford, and the Tilley family, long time friends of 40 years.
Christie will be missed by all who truly loved her. Christie (Mom), we love you more!
