
Claude Elvin Fishburn, 80, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, passed away peacefully on September 1, 2025.
Born on November 15, 1944, in Grand Junction, Colorado, Claude was the beloved son of Elenore “Dolly” Fox and Claude Fishburn Sr. He grew up alongside his brothers, Jim Thompson and Jerry Fishburn.
Claude devoted 33 years of his life to the Colorado Springs Utilities, where he served as a skilled heavy equipment operator in the Water Department. Claude took pride in his work and his contributions to the community.
He is survived by his loving wife, Josephine Rosario-Fishburn; his son, William Fishburn; and stepchildren, Lester Rosario and Yvonne Ross. Claude was the proud grandfather of seven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
Claude had a deep love for the outdoors and was most at peace tending to his yard. He was an avid runner and cherished every opportunity to stay active. He also had a special bond with his dog, Savannah, who brought him immense joy and who he now joins in peaceful rest.
A Memorial Service will be held at Shrine of Remembrance on Friday, September 12, at 2:00 PM. Reception to follow at the Fishburn residence. Friends and loved ones are invited to gather in celebration of Claude’s life and legacy.

Clyde was a quiet man until he got too close to one of his Corvettes then he would say hey not too close to the car! We loved him
I saw Claude whenever I visited for weddings, graduations, Christmas. He was quiet man but always very kind. He was so proud of his truck which was always in showroom condition! My condolences to Josie and family. You will be missed & never forgotten Claude.
