Colin Losee Corbin, beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and veteran, passed away on September 4, 2025, at the age of 90 in Colorado Springs.

Colin was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, on December 27, 1934, to Clyde Leon Corbin Jr. and Nellie Norton Corbin. Colin grew up in Salt Lake City in the 33rd Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where his mother worked in the Primary many years. He had a brother, Carl, born in 1932; a brother, Terry, born in 1938, who died in infancy; a brother, Corey, born in 1940; and a sister, Caron, born in 1950. Colin attended Roosevelt Junior High School and East High School, where he participated in the ROTC.

Colin married Amy Lee Valentine in Salt Lake City, Utah, in 1964. They were sealed together in the Salt Lake Temple on January 25, 1965. They had three children: Clark, Colleen, and Clyde.

Colin was in the military for 23 years, serving in the Army National Guard, Navy Reserve, Navy, Air Force, and Army. During his military career, he sailed around the world, competed on the Pacific Air Force pistol team and won many medals, and served in the U.S., Japan, Thailand, and Vietnam, with temporary duty in various places including the Philippines and Hong Kong. His last assignment was at Fort Carson in Colorado Springs, where he and Amy Lee bought a home in 1973.

After Colin retired from the Army in 1974 as a chief warrant officer, he worked at TRW and then Kaman Instrumentation. He earned an Associate of Science degree in Electronics Technology from Pikes Peak Community College in 1980. In retirement, Colin and Amy Lee traveled to Australia, New Zealand, Argentina, China, and Alaska. Colin enjoyed movies, television, word games, and brain teasers.

Colin had a deep and abiding testimony of the Atonement of Jesus Christ and the Book of Mormon. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He blessed the lives of many while serving in dozens of callings through the years. In 2003 and 2004, Colin and Amy Lee served a Church service mission, during which they ran the Colorado Springs regional employment center, helping people to write resumes and find jobs.

Colin is survived by his wife, Amy Lee; his daughter, Colleen Corbin Dowda, and her husband, Darron Dowda; his son, Clyde Lee Corbin, and his wife, Kristi Wasden Corbin; his grandchildren: Calvin Corbin and his wife, Deanna Ballard Corbin; Jerusha Dowda Hamson and her husband, Logan Hamson; and Ian Dowda and his wife, Marriah Cardin Dowda; his great-grandchildren: Drake, Erik, and Zelda Hamson; and many other loved ones. He was preceded in death by his siblings and his son, Clark Corbin.

There will be a memorial service on Friday, September 26, at 11:00 a.m. in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints building at 1705 N. Murray Blvd., Colorado Springs, CO 80915. Afterward there will be a reception with refreshments. Burial services will take place on Monday, September 29, at 2:00 p.m. at the Pikes Peak National Cemetery, 10545 Drennan Road, Colorado Springs, CO 80925.
