Daniel “Danny” Ohmer, age 68, passed away on October 1, 2024. He was born to Mildred and Eugene Ohmer.
He is survived by his sisters: Susan Thompson (Andy), Nancy Ems (Bobby), Janice Garriott (Phil); brother, Steven Ohmer; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Danny was preceded in death by his father, Eugene Ohmer; mother, Mildred (Billie) Ohmer; and sister, Karen Ohmer.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling and the outdoors until he was disabled. Danny graduated from the University of Southern Colorado with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. He worked several years for civil service as a certified public accountant. He had also attended St. Joseph Catholic Church since elementary school. Danny will be missed by family and friends.
A Memorial Service in honor of Danny will be held at 10:00AM, Friday, October 11, 2024, at the Shrine of Remembrance “America the Beautiful” Chapel, 1730 East Fountain Boulevard, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80910.
I worked with Dan at MMS. He was a great guy. Sorry to hear of his passing. Prayers for him. Thanks.
I knew Dan from MMS as well. We had some good times and discussions at a local Chinese restaurant. He was a great guy. RIP Dan.
I worked with Dan at MMS as well. Sometimes we would go to a Chinese restaurant on a Friday afternoon and drink tea and enjoy Peking duck and Young Chow fried rice and just talk. It was the best of times with an awesome guy!
Dan was one of the kindest people I ever met. Honest, supportive, generous, and good-natured, in a world that was often unjust and unkind, in return. He lived by his faith. Dan made the world a better place.
