Danny R. Allen, 58 years old, passed away on July 13, 2016. He was a resident of Colorado Springs for 32 years, and was formerly a resident of Lincoln, Nebraska. He was a heavy equipment mechanic as well as a lineman.
Danny married Bonny Jackson (Allen) in Lincoln, Nebraska in February 1977. They both graduated from Lincoln East High in which they were high school sweet hearts. Danny also went on to receive an Associate of Applied Science in Diesel Technology. Danny “Dano” was a big fan of Big Red Football: NFL (NY Giants), NBA (Boston Celtics), NASCAR (Jimmy Johnson), he also loved riding his Harley.
He is survived by his loving wife Bonny; his children: Teresa Clark (Matthew), Jamie Allen; three grandchildren: Kamren Boise, Caleb Clark, Arion Sipp, and one on the way; his mother, Leola Allen (Lee); step-mother, Jeanie Allen; two sisters and three brothers: Susan Keane (David), Rick Allen (Joy), Desiree Greever (Bruce), Scott Allen, David Allen; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Danny was blessed with a multitude of extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, W. E. Allen, and his nephew, Andrew Jordan Allen.
Services will be held at 10am on Saturday July 23, 2016 at Shrine of Remembrance located at 1730 East Fountain Blvd., Colorado Springs, CO 80910. A reception will follow the service at Olympian Plaza Reception and Event Center located at 975 S. Union Blvd., Colorado Springs, CO 80910.
