Darol Wayne Burris, 85, of Colorado Springs and a nineteen year resident of Buena Vista, Colorado, passed away on July 26, 2015 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Darol was born on February 1, 1930 to the late Arnold and Velma (Powell) Burris in Ponca City, Oklahoma. After graduating high school, Darol entered the United States Army where he honorably served and expanded his education. After discharging from the Army, Darol was a miner for Climax Molybdenum for several years.
Darol is survived by his beloved wife, Mary; sons: Curtis and Tim Burris; daughter, Peggi Gaggi; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings.
A private service will be held at the Shrine of Remembrance Funeral Home in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
