David Duane Amante, 41, of Colorado Springs, passed away unexpectedly due to natural causes on July 30, 2014. Dave was born on February 18, 1973 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. After graduating high school, Dave attended DeVry University.
On May 19, 2007, Dave married Tonya Marie Wallace. The two moved to Colorado Springs from the Seattle area to buy a house and to raise a family. Dave was known as a devoted and loving husband and father. He lived for his children; they were the center of his world. He was very creative and artistic. He enjoyed collecting vintage toys, fixing them up and then selling them for a profit. He also was an “avid gamer” and well known in the gaming community.
Dave is survived by his beloved wife, Tonya: children: Alexander “Xander;” and Lilith “Lily;” mother, Clarine Amante; siblings: Brenda Amante/Howard, Frederic Amante and Thomas Frost. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, and many other extended family members and friends.
Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 p.m. on Monday, August 4, 2014 at the Shrine of Remembrance North Chapel, 5440 North Union Boulevard, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80918. A Celebration of Life service and reception will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at the Olympian Plaza Reception and Event Center, 975 South Union Boulevard, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80910. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
