June 6, 1980 – February 2, 2020

   David Glenn Merritt, a lifelong resident of Colorado Springs, passed away Sunday, February 2, 2020.  He was an electrician.

   David was born on June 6, 1980 in Colorado Springs to Tommy Glenn Merritt and Carolyn Sue (Mitchell) Filkin.  He married Angela Marie Dalton on July 4, 2019 in Colorado Springs.

   He was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.  He loved the mountains and being outdoors. His family was the first priority in his life. He was known for being a great joker and fun antagonizer.

   He is survived by his wife, Angela Dalton-Merritt; his siblings: Sammy Merritt, and Traci Jimenez; his parents: Sue Filkin (Randy), and Tom Merritt; and three daughters.

   Private family services are planned.

   Memorials in David’s name may be made to Acacia Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1420 Acacia Dr., Colorado Springs, CO 80907, in Colorado Springs or at their website JW.org.
