Doris Kathryn (Little) Pittman, of Colorado Springs, departed this life on Tuesday, December 27. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walker Carter “W. C.” Pittman, and her son, Michael Jeffery Pittman.

She was born on October 2, 1924, in Meehan, Mississippi. Doris, or “Doll” as she was also known, once shot her little brother, Ray, with a BB gun (he retaliated). At 17, she married “W. C.” Pittman, and they traveled to England, Alaska, Texas, Louisiana, etc., with the military. Doris loved all the friends they met in their travels. They settled in Colorado Springs, and both retired from the United States Air Force.

Doris will be remembered as a kind and giving woman who loved her family with all her heart, especially her son, Mike, and grandchildren: Brandon and Brittany. She is survived by her two grandchildren: Brandon Pittman and Brittany Pittman; brother, Ray Little; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 30, at the Shrine of Remembrance Funeral Home. Visitation is scheduled one hour prior to the service, at 9:00 a.m. Interment will occur at Evergreen Cemetery immediately following the service.
