Dorothy Virginia Librizzi passed away peacefully on 5 November 2025 at the age of 92 at Brookdale Skyline Assisted Living Facility in Colorado Springs, CO.
Dorothy was born on 23 November 1932 in West Haverstraw, NY, to Paul and Mary Vinci. After graduating high school she worked as a secretary in New York City. At the age of 22 she married James Anthony Librizzi on 1 May 1955 at St. Peter’s Church in Haverstraw, NY. They resided in New Windsor, NY, and together they raised two daughters.
She worked at the Newburgh Free Library in Newburgh, NY, until her retirement and moved to Colorado Springs, CO, in 1999 where she lived until her death. Dorothy enjoyed reading, traveling, cooking and meeting with the local Italian Club.
Dorothy was predeceased by James, her husband of 52 years, who died in 2017. She is survived by a brother, Eugene Vinci, of Florida; daughters: Stephanie Stillwell of Highland, NY; and Valerie Hanchett of Colorado Springs, CO; 5 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
