Dwane Walker, age 86, passed away on December 2, 2018. He was a resident of Hudson, Colorado for 18 years and was formerly a resident of Riviera, Texas. He was a truck driver.
Dwane was born on May 27, 1932, to Benjamin Walker and Dollie (Bundy) Walker in Lyons, South Dakota. On June 4, 1965, he married Trella Palmer in Garner, Iowa.
Dwane was fond of fishing. He also enjoyed working on trucks, and had an appreciation for story-telling. He was a member of the Lutheran Church and attended Augustana Academy campus, and graduated in 1951.
He is survived by his loving wife, Trella Walker; his children: Ruth Benson, Bradley Walker, Tarae Wakefield, Teresa Jensen, Tracy Walker, and Thomas Walker; his sister, Darleen Aaland; his 16 grandchildren; and his 10 great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held from 9:15 am to 10:00 am with a funeral service at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, December 10, 2018 at the Shrine of Remembrance “America the Beautiful” Chapel. Entombment will be at Memorial Gardens in the Devotion Garden. A reception will be held at Joan Dacus’s house.
