Eileen Cox Roecker

Eileen Cox Roecker, 85, was reunited with her husband Robert Roecker on Tuesday, May 14. She was born to Solomon and Dora (Renken) Cox on April 1, 1928 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. For 55 years she was the devoted wife of Bob until his death in 2003 when she relocated to Plattsburgh, New York to be near her grandson Jed Peterson and his young family.

Eileen was preceded in death by her sister, Gloria; and her son, William Roecker. She is survived by her daughter, Kathleen Buxton of Stiffkey, England; grandsons: Jedidiah Peterson of Lebanon, New Hampshire; Gabriel Peterson Meerts of Northfield, Minnesota; William Roecker of Denver, Colorado; and Clifford Roecker Claremont, California. Eileen took great pleasure in having six great-grandchildren.

Eileen loved beautiful flowers and cultivated African violets, roses and peonies at her home in Colorado Springs. Eileen enjoyed many activities including games, socializing, knitting, crocheting and craft projects.

Funeral Services are planned for 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 23, 2013 at the Shrine of Remembrance “America the Beautiful” Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior in the chapel. Entombment will be at the Shrine of Remembrance Mausoleum, Gate of Heaven.
