Eleanor “Nan” Abbotts
Our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, went to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on September 26th, 2015.
Our mother has joined our father, John Abbotts, who preceded her in death 30 years ago and they are now rejoicing together in Heaven.
Nan is survived by her daughter, Lori Pitcher, and son-in-law, Michael Pitcher, of Monument; daughter, Dawn Hitchcock, and son-in-law, Michael Hitchcock, of Glen Eagle; and son, Douglas Abbotts, and daughter-in-law, Karen Abbotts, of Leesburg, Virginia. She was blessed with 7 wonderful grandchildren and adored her 3 great-grandchildren.
She was born on May 4th, 1932 in Port Austin, Michigan and moved to the Tri-Lakes area in 1986.
Nan retired from Burroughs Corporation in Detroit, Michigan as a Key Punch Operator. She also worked as a cook for Children’s Choice in Monument for 9 years, where she was affectionately known by all the children as “Miss Nan”.
Mother loved spending time and cooking for her family, reading, crocheting, movies, walking and sharing her baked goods with friends and neighbors. She was loved by all and will be missed by many.
