In Loving Memory
Emanuel Joey Montoya, 36, passed away on September 26, 2025. Emanuel was born in Denver on September 5, 1989 and was adopted by Greg and Ernestina Montoya in July 1994. He lived in Colorado Springs for 16 years and was formerly a resident of Junction City, KS.
He attended St. Xavier Schools and then graduated from Junction City High School. He obtained a Medical Assistant Certificate with honors from Pima Medical Institute in Colorado Springs.
He was fond of making and playing music and loved to sing. He took enjoyment in helping others who needed a hand. He was a member Pikes Peak Christian Church. He was also an avid Denver Broncos fan.
He is survived by his parents: Greg and Ernestina, sister Toni Rae, brother Jacob, niece Aubrielle, nephew Amari, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by grandparents Seferino and Martha Lopez and Milton and Barbara Montoya, and uncles Don and Chuck Montoya.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at 10:00 am. Services will be held at the Shrine of Remembrance, 1730 East Fountain Boulevard, Colorado Springs, CO 80910.
A reception will be held following the Celebration of Life service at Olympian Plaza Reception and Event Center, 975 South Union Boulevard.
