Ernestina “Tina” Charron – August 11, 2025

Ernestina Charron, age 85, passed away on August 11, 2025. She was a resident of Colorado Springs, CO for over 55 years and was formerly a resident of Las Vegas, NM, Pueblo, CO, and Sacramento, CA. She was a former military spouse and was a stay-at-home Mom.

Ernestina was born on May 9, 1940 to Donaciano Archuleta and Rose (Gonzales) (Archuleta) Vigil in Trujillo, NM. She attended Centennial High School in Pueblo, CO, and graduated in 1959. On June 15,1963 she married her soulmate, Alfred P. Charron, in Colorado Springs, CO.

She grew up on a ranch with a large, extended family, where she learned the values of hard work and resourcefulness. As a young adult, she enjoyed going to dances, often having so much fun that her brothers sometimes had to pull her away to head back home.

Tina was a devoted wife and mother, always taking care of her family through both pleasant and difficult times. She was known for her outgoing personality, artistic spirit, generosity, practicality, resilience, quick-wit, and amicableness — traits that made her a joy to be around.

Tina had a deep love for nature and was especially fond of plants and gardening. Her favorite flowers were roses and sunflowers. In quieter moments, she enjoyed reading, working on word searches, crossword puzzles, and jigsaw puzzles. Her faith was a guiding force in her life. As a member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses organization, Tina was strong in her beliefs and found joy in sharing ministry and posting Bible scriptures throughout her home.
