Estella R. Madril – May 10, 2025

Estella R. Madril, passed away May 10, 2025, at the age of 91, in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

She was born, July 27, 1933, in Del Norte, Colorado, to Antonio and Frances (Valdez) Lopez.

Estella loved volunteering, some of her most notable being for the election department, Memorial Hospital, volunteering as a lay chaplain, and pastoral care. She was also a Den Mother for the Cub Scouts and was quite active in the Ladies Auxiliary of the Knights of Columbus. She also loved gardening, and walking with her most beloved dog, Bobby II.

She was preceded in death by her parents Antonio and Frances Lopez; sisters, Patricia Lopez Chavez and Mary Lopez Archuleta; brother, Tony Lopez; and by her nephew, William and his wife, Carmen Archuleta.

Estella is survived by her loving husband, Joseph A. Madril, Jr.; sons, Joseph A. Madril III and Dominic Madril; and daughter, Frances Ann Clay.

A Memorial Mass will be held in honor of Estella at 10:00AM on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at Divine Redeemer Church, 927 North Logan Avenue, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80909. Estella will be laid to rest at 1:00PM on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at Pikes Peak National Cemetery, 10545 Drennan Road, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80925.
