Fedilia “Dee” Maria Brown – January 5, 2026

Dee Brown, 82, went home to meet her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in heaven, on January 5, 2026. She was a resident of Colorado Springs, CO, for many years and was formerly a resident of Pueblo.

Dee was born on October 30, 1943, in Questa, New Mexico, to Filomeno Ortiz and Andrea Quintana-Ortiz. On April 24, 1960, she married Bond Randolph Brown Sr. in Colorado Springs, CO. She was a highly dedicated Pastor’s wife for 40 years, as she attended New Life Baptist Church in Colorado Springs, where she came to know Jesus with the help of Pastor Robert T. Nyberg. She served at Redeemer Baptist Church in Avondale, CO, as well as Central Baptist Church in Pueblo, CO. Prior to living in Pueblo, she ran a home-daycare in Colorado Springs, CO.

Dee was a highly gifted homemaker. She enjoyed crocheting and tri-chem, and she was an excellent cook, baker, and pastry cook. She loved to sing praises and worship to the Lord God Almighty. Dee had an appreciation for music and played the alto-saxophone in her teenage years, in the Ortiz family band. She attended Pueblo County High School, yet she dropped out as her mother, Andrea, was extremely ill. Dee went on to earn her GED.

She is survived by her husband, Bond R. Brown Sr., as well as Bond Randolph Brown Jr., Laurie Ann Trimbur, Andre Torrez, Cielo Torrez, Anthony Miller, Cirena, and Josiah Miller, and all of the beloved Bond family and the greatly loved Ortiz family.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00PM on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at Shrine of Remembrance, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd. in Colorado Springs. The Brown family would be greatly honored if you would join them for a meal at the dinner reception following the service, at the Olympian Plaza Reception Center across the street at 975 S. Union Blvd.

Memorials in Dee’s name may be made directly to Bond Brown Sr.
