Frank Isidoro Lucero – January 1, 2026

Frank Isidoro Lucero, 98, our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, passed away in his home, with family by his side, on January 1, 2026. 

Frank was born on March 18, 1927, to Frank I. and Madalena M. (Pacheco) Lucero, in Antonito, Colorado. On July 23, 1960, he married Crusita Lucero in Elko, Nevada.  He proudly served his country in the Army Air Corps during WWII. 

He was predeceased by his loving wife, Crusita Lucero, and his first grandson, David Everett.  He is survived by his children: Elaine Everett (Michael), Ruby Torres (Domingo), and Christopher Lucero Sr. (Lorie); grandchildren: Eugene, Reuben, Vanessa, Christopher II, and Diego; and 8 great grandchildren: Madyson, Jaci, Maliyah, Robert Jr., Lyana, Domingo Jr., Christopher III., and Ava.  

Frank was fond of wood working. He also enjoyed playing Bingo and loved modern technology and taking walks.  He was always willing to help everyone he came in contact with and will be greatly missed by all of those touched by his life. 

A viewing will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., followed by a celebration of life beginning at 10:00 a.m., on Friday, January 16, 2026, at the Shrine of Remembrance “America the Beautiful” Chapel, 1730 East Fountain Boulevard, Colorado Springs, CO 80910. A reception for family and friends will be held at Hillside Community Center, 925 South Institute Street, Colorado Springs, CO 80903.
