Fredda JohnsonFredda Irene Johnson (Earnheart) passed away on Thursday, December 13, 2018 at the age of 86. She peacefully went to be with the Lord while surrounded by her family.

Fredda was a resident of Colorado Springs for forty-four years. Fredda was born on January 23, 1932 to Meryl Earnheart and Artie Almeda Earnheart (Moore) in North Kansas City, Missouri. She attended Central High School in Springfield, Missouri and graduated in 1950.

Fredda was fond of socializing and hosting celebrations of all sizes. She was a wonderful baker and cook and opened her home to many with a warm heart. She enjoyed visiting with her family and friends and never met a person she couldn’t have a conversation with. Fredda was also an avid reader and often passed along the title of a good story to many of her family members and friends. She worked at local Christian bookstores for many years and also carried an administration role at her church. She was a member of Circle Drive Baptist Church and was a faithful servant of Jesus Christ.

She is survived by her two daughters, Sarah Ann Ross and Nancy Jo Manly and her spouse Charles Manly. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Cynthia Sue Merkle, and her son, George Breckenridge Johnson III. She is survived by her grandchildren: AmandaJo Haugen (Ross) and her spouse Justin Grant Haugen, Charles Adam George Manly III, Chad Jeffrey Ross, Breckenridge Lee Merkle and his spouse Candice Denise Merkle (Roberts), Anthony James Merkle, and Avalon Almeda Manly. She is also survived by her fourteen great grandchildren: Gabrielle Joy, Sawyer Jeffrey, Charles Joshua Logan, Laura Nichole, Olivia Elizabeth, Elias Aden, Solomon Dylan, Cynthia Leigh, Judson Breckenridge, Chloe Faith, Elijah Richard, Eva Corrine, Alexandria Marie, and Braelin Jeffrey.

Knowing that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord, the family invites you to celebrate Fredda’s life at a memorial service to be held at 2 o’clock in the afternoon on Friday, December 28, 2018 at the Shrine of Remembrance in Colorado Springs.
