Goldie Gouge

Goldie Gouge was born December 21, 1930 in Hinton, Oklahoma to Dorothy and Harvey Coffey. Goldie became a nurse where she met Ernest Gouge. They were married August 3, 1949 and were married for over 50 years before Ernest passed away on November 30, 2005.

Goldie and Ernest were married in Oklahoma and lived in Amarillo, Texas. In 1966 they moved to Richmond, Illinois to start a church. Later they moved to Elgin, Illinois to pastor the 1st Baptist Church there. In 1976 they moved to Colorado to start Garden Ranch Baptist Church. Goldie and Ernest have helped build and start over 10 churches and were active in missionary work here in the US and in Central America.

She is survived by her two sons, Mike and Mark Gouge; her daughter, Patti Caparros; and her brother, Russell Coffey. She also had 4 grandkids, and 9 great-grandkids.

There will be a Memorial Service on Sunday, March 30, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. at Garden Ranch Baptist Church, 3830 Van Teylingen Drive, Colorado Springs.
