Ingeborg Ballard

Ingeborg Ballard, a resident of Colorado Springs for 38 years, passed away on February 3, 2014. She was a loving, devoted and caring wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.

Ingeborg was born on June 7, 1928 in Heidelberg, Germany to Hans and Maria (Goltz) Betzga. She married Delano “Pete” Ballard on June 7, 1957 in Mannheim, Germany.

She enjoyed volunteer work, traveling in the motor home, crafts, painting, and needlework. She was a member of the Austrian American Enzian Club.

Ingeborg was devoted to her family and friends, ensuring that she was always there for people she cared about. She was a loving person to be around and we will miss her dearly. We will cherish our sweet memories of this beautiful lady.

She is survived by her husband; her daughter, Liane Ballard; a granddaughter, Christine Baca; and her sister Annamaria Rothfuchs.

A visitation will be held at 2:00 p.m. with a funeral service to follow at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, February 10, 2014 at Shrine of Remembrance “America the Beautiful” Chapel. Private entombment will take place at Shrine of Remembrance Mausoleum, Gate of Heaven.

  2. Mom today is your birthday at 92 yrs old and your Anniversary to your wonderful husband of 62 years. I’m so very blessed to have special parents, a wonderful daughter and a very special man and we were going to get married. I know you both love him dearly. Daniel A Johnson that passed away to soon. I found a or I should say we found a Soulmate in each other. Just like our Parents. Today dad talked about a crazy squirrel in the back yard making all kinds of noise. He talked about how you use to sit under the weeping willow in the back yard. the squirrel ate out of your pocket. I have so many beautiful memories of you and Daniel, i’ll treasure them always. i also know that you both are right here with me. I also know you sent the message to us of the squirrel.
