Major Jack C. Miller, Ret., age 96, passed away on October 24, 2015. He was born 22 June, 1919 in McPherson, Kansas to Joseph and Amy (Cook) Miller. He was married 6 June 1942 in Abilene, Texas to Norma J. Johnson who preceded him in death. Major Miller served for twenty years in the Army during which he performed active duty in the South Pacific in World War II and later served in the Korean Occupation. After retiring from the Army, he and Norma moved to Colorado Springs where he worked for seventeen years as Vice President for Central Bank of Colorado Springs. Jack was a past President of the Rampart Range Kiwanis of which he was a member for 31 years and received the Legion of Honor Award. Jack was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Colorado Springs since 1961 and served as an elder and trustee. He was a member of the National Retired Officers Association as well as the local Pikes Peak Chapter. He was also a member of the ORB’s group at Peterson Air Force Base. He was an avid volunteer after his retirement, serving children and the elderly.

He is survived by two daughters, Judith Williams (Ken) of Pueblo, CO and Gloria Turner of Colorado Springs; and son Jack Miller (Sheri) of Colorado Springs; eight grandchildren: Audrey Durham (Tom) , Gwyn Williams (Brent), Alison Musso (Carl), Brooke Yacklich (Guy), Nikki Miller (Emily), Shaina Miller, Kate Campo (David) and Noah Turner; great-grandchildren: Erin, Vaughan, Carlo, Zander and Porter. Slike and Musso families, Kim, Stacy, Rocky, Karlie Rae, Jordin, Sophia, Jackson, Jaxson, Gregori and Avery. He had three brothers and four sisters who preceded him in death.

Jack will be dearly missed by his family and friends in the communities of Colorado Springs and Pueblo. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 on November 1, at Shrine of Remembrance, 1730 E. Fountain Blvd., Colorado Springs.
