Jeaninne was a loving wife, a loving mother, and a loving grandmother who passed away Tuesday, January 27, 2015.

Jeaninne was born on August 6, 1936 in Dallas, Texas. She leaves behind a loving husband, Al Collins, whom she married 59 years ago while they were attending North Texas State College in Denton, Texas. She is survived by three sons: Jason, Shawn, & Cole Collins and one daughter Alyson Collins; two son-in-laws Mark Rubin and John Adams & two daughters-in-law Natalie Florentine and Missi Collins; three grandchildren: Tirzah, Fletcher, & Skyler Collins; eight grand dogs: Mollie, Ben, Jerry, Rocky, Sampson, Marley, Chiquita, No Bueno and three grand cats.

Jeaninne enjoyed the many years she spent singing in both the Durango and Colorado Springs Sweet Adelines. Jeaninne was a singer, a poet, an artist, a published photographer and a published model. She enjoyed sitting by the ocean, walking on the beach, walking in the Henry Cowell and Big Basin Red Wood Forests, off-roading in her Jeep CJ and TJ Wrangler exploring the Colorado backcountry, old mining roads, and aggressive off road 4×4 trails. Jeaninne was always happy to explore an unknown road, splash through mud puddles, and explore historic ghost towns. She enjoyed big band swing, blue grass, and any upbeat music that would make you want to sing or dance. She enjoyed family gatherings, snowy nights with a glass of wine by a crackling fire, and the sounds of rain on a tin roof. She was always cheery and made people feel comfortable and welcome. Her home was always open, especially to family or a friend in need.

Jeaninne was a very kind, loving, and gentle soul and will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She never knew a stranger as everyone who met her liked her.
