Jeanne Marion Sattler, 75, passed away at her residence on February 6, 2017. Jeanne was born on October 21, 1941 in Providence, Rhode Island to the late Frank and Frances (Seaman) Versage. After graduating high school, Jeanne married Richard Kredell. After his passing in 1967, she married Duane Sattler and remained together until his passing in 2003.

Jeanne was a jack of all trades. She and her father operated a catering business for several years and she was very crafty; often times could be found “working” as a beading instructor at her daughter’s beading store or sewing dresses and other clothing items. She was heavily involved with the D.A.R. (Daughters of the American Revolution) and always baked and delivered cookies to the local fire departments on September 11. Jeanne loved volunteering and helping others. Giving service to her family and others was her number one priority. She was a valued member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Meridian Ward) and never passed up the opportunity to make a home cooked meal!

Jeanne is survived by her children: Cindy (Leon) McKee, Beth (Lance) Benson, Patrick (Jill) Sattler and Patricia (Shelton) Sunday; sisters: Frankie Dudley, Catherine (Vern) Price and Marti (Terry) Hatch as well as six grandchildren: Chris and Nic McKee, Kayla Benson, Elisia Sattler and Dillon and Trevor Sunday. She is also survived by her beloved four-legged Chihuahua, Elsa. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Richard Kredell; her second husband, Duane Sattler; her daughter, Theresa Kredell and her brother, Silas Versage.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at the Shrine of Remembrance Funeral Home, 1730 East Fountain Boulevard, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80910. A reception will follow at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 13210 Bandanero Drive in Peyton, Colorado 80831. Private interment will be held at the Shrine of Remembrance Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Pikes Peak Hospice Foundation at 2550 Tenderfoot Hill Street, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80906 or to the church.
