Jeanne Parrot-Wheeler – July 19, 2025

January 1931 – July 2025

Jeanne Parrot-Wheeler, born in Akron, Ohio, passed away peacefully on July 19, 2025, in Colorado Springs, surrounded by love and cherished memories.

As a dedicated schoolteacher, Jeanne inspired countless young minds with her passion for learning and her unwavering belief in the potential of every student. Beyond the classroom, she found solace and joy in playing the piano, filling her home with melodies that brought comfort and happiness to all who listened.

After retiring from her career as a schoolteacher, she discovered a new passion for quilting, creating countless handmade quilts for family and friends. Her love for the piano remained a cherished part of her life. Best of all, Mom’s house was known for her big old-fashioned family gatherings, especially the Christmas Eve parties. She loved poker with Grandma Powell and the tall boys, beef stroganoff, Scrabble, puzzles, and the house filled with family and friends. Those were the special moments that will be with us always.

Jeanne is preceded in death by Howard Marty Parrot; a son, Lenn Marty Parrot; husband, Roy E Wheeler; parents, Robert and Pearl Powell; sister and brother-in law, Bobbie and Stanley Holtzapple; step-daughter, Susan Wheeler; and step-son, Phillip Wheeler.

Jeanne is survived by daughters, Cathy Kosley (Jim Williamson) and Becky Jahrig (Will); three sons: Bob (Terry), Jack (Dianna), and Jeff (Rochelle) Parrot; step-daughter, Debbie (Rob) Burdsal; and many nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Born with a natural warmth, kindness, wisdom, and that ever-present smile, her gentle spirit touched everyone she met.

In her honor, the family kindly requests donations be made to your own favorite charity.
