Juanita Violeta Tomas Bernabe, age 76, passed away on December 15, 2020. She was a resident of Colorado Springs for 38 years and was formerly a resident of Laoag City, Philippines. She was retired from her successful career as an assembler at Western Forge.
She was born on June 9, 1944 in Laoag City, Philippines to Luciano Tomas and Ana Ubay.
Juanita was very fond of creating crocheted blankets along with gardening and could grow vegetables in abundance. She also enjoyed spending her time with her grandchildren and great granddaughter. She is survived by her children: James Bernabe, Cleofe Periquet, Maribell Dolan, Joel Bernabe, Alex Bernabe and Joseph Bernabe; 10 out of 11 siblings; her grandchildren Marie Nichols, Jamie Godinez and Jennifer Periquet and her great grand-daughter Keani Nichols.
