Judy Ann Romero went home to be with The Lord on November 2, 2021.

   Judy was born on June 21, 1946 in Colorado Springs to Joseph William Sr. and Dimas Marie Tafoya. She was one of four children; her sisters Dimas and Peggy, and her brother Joseph William Jr.

   Judy was a lifelong resident of Colorado Springs. She attended Sacred Heart Elementary and graduated from St. Mary’s High School. She married Freddie Romero and had two daughters, Antoinette (deceased) and Janine (husband Ben), and one son Jamie (wife Zoe). Judy was a loving mother and grandmother to six wonderful grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

   Judy worked in the banking industry for over 30 years. She was a great friend to so many people and was known for her beautiful soul, her generosity and delicious baked goods. She loved the mountains, listening to music, the Denver Broncos, and Donald Trump.

   She is preceded in death by her daughter Antoinette, her mother, father, brother and sisters.

   A rosary will be held at Divine Redeemer Catholic Church located at 927 Logan Ave., Colorado Springs, CO on Wednesday, November 17 at 10:30am with a mass immediately following at 11:00am. Graveside services will be at Evergreen Cemetery. A Celebration of Life reception will be held at The Elks Lodge #309 located at 3400 N. Nevada Ave. at 2:00pm.

   Flowers can be sent to Divine Redeemer Catholic Church located at 927 Logan Ave., Colorado Springs, CO 80909 or feel free to make a donation in memory of Judy to The American Kidney Fund or Project Angel Heart, who help provide meals for those that are ill or cannot shop or cook for themselves, and who Judy benefitted from.
