Lexi Bunney, age 28, entered God’s loving arms on January 28, 2014.
Lexi Joan Bunney was born September 8, 1985 in Colorado Springs, Colorado to Brian and Lori (Krause) Bunney. She was a 2003 graduate of Liberty High School and attended UCCS in Colorado Springs. Lexi enjoyed reading, cooking, needle point, and planning gatherings to spend time with family and friends. Lexi’s brilliant smile warmed the hearts of all those she touched, and her loving and caring heart put the needs of others ahead of her own.
Lexi is survived by her parents: Brian and Lori Bunney; her brothers: Nick and Zach Bunney, along with Zach’s wife, Amanda; her grandparents: Neal and Janice Krause of Omaha, Nebraska; Rod and Nancy Bunney of Rio Verde, Arizona and her friend: Mike Carr of Colorado Springs. She has numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Lexi was preceded in death by her grandmother, Joan Bunney.
Lexi’s beautiful spirit and the happiness she brought to all our lives will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 3, 2014 at Bethel Lutheran Church, 4925 Farmingdale Drive, Colorado Springs. A luncheon reception at Bethel will follow the service. Private committal services will be at Fairview Cemetery.
Lexi loved the spirit of Christmas and giving to others so Memorials may be made to the Empty Stocking Fund in her honor.
Every moment with Lexi is cherished and she will be deeply missed.
