Lillian E. Fittje born to Herbert & Sadie Pearson of St. Edward, NE on February 13, 1922 departed this life on November 29, 2013. She was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Werner, and her two sons, Jerry and Bob. She is survived by her two daughters –Mary Ellen Montie (Bill) & Kathy Rowley (Mark), her daughter-in-law, Ruth and her sister, Evelyn Sorensen. Contributing to her longevity were 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Lillian’s family brought her great joy! She was active in her church and she loved to bake and grow beautiful flowers. Lillian was a charter member of Redeemer Lutheran Church.
A visitation will be held on Monday, December 2, from 5-7 pm at the Shrine of Remembrance Funeral Home. Funeral services are planned for 11am Tuesday, December 3, at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 2226 N. Corona, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80907. A luncheon reception will follow the services at the church. Private entombment will be at the Shrine of Remembrance Mausoleum, Garden of Angels. Memorials in Mrs. Fittje’s name may be made to Redeemer Lutheran Church.
