Linda Jean Strickland
July 16, 1949 – August 30, 2018

Linda Jean (Schell) Strickland went to be with the Lord on August 30, 2018. She was a resident of Colorado Springs, Colorado for 40 years and was formerly a resident of Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Linda was born on July 16, 1949, to Robert E. and Frances A. Schell, in Fall River, Massachusetts. The family moved to Fort Lauderdale, Florida in 1956, where Linda graduated from St. Thomas Aquinas High School in 1968. She was retired from Safeway Grocery Stores, where she worked for over 30 years in Colorado Springs.

Linda was an expert pool player and at one time was ranked as the number 2 player in the state of Colorado. In addition to pool, Linda loved music, Halloween and spending time

with family and friends.

Linda is survived by her loving son, Christopher T. Strickland; her siblings: Robert E. Schell, Jr. (Elaine), Suzanne M. Schell, Michael C. Schell (Dawn), Patricia A. Adamo (Ben), Katherine L. Blanco; sister-in-law, Joyce Schell; and many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-

nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert E. Schell, Sr.; mother, Frances A.

Schell; and her brother, Richard J. Schell.

A memorial service will be held from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 6, 2018, at the Shrine of Remembrance, located at 1730 East Fountain Boulevard, Colorado Springs, CO.

The family has requested that in lieu of flowers a donation be made in Linda Jean Strickland’s name to the American Cancer Society. Please include her name with your donations and the American Cancer Society will send a note of acknowledgement to the family. Any additional information can be obtained from the Shrine of Remembrance in Colorado Springs, Colorado
